How Microsoft can help me to teach better...

I am a lifelong learner! I have known that about myself for many years now and attempt to model that attribute for my students each and every day. Microsoft is a company that (through its work) continually embodies this very philosophy and behavior. Lifelong learning entails the ability to be forward thinking, innovative and to challenge ourselves beyond the scope of our traditional brick and mortar boundaries. Microsoft of course, is the leader and giant in breaking new ground in terms of this lifelong pursuit of learning. Through their website, their software and their various programs such as the Innovative Teachers Forum, the Inspired Teacher Program, the Teacher Tech Tuesday Program and more, Microsoft has helped and continues to help me to be a better teacher on a daily basis. These programs support 21st century learning and teaching and are valuable resources for any teacher. Whenever I am feeling "stuck" for creative ways to engage my students, I turn to the Microsoft Education website first to see what new ideas I can incorporate into my curriculum.

Engaging students in the learning process, leading them into taking responsibility for their own learning, learning from and with my students is my passion! Microsoft has made meeting these goals a breeze...because they make every attempt to understand the challenges of being a teacher in this 21st century.
