ANDREA AILING HR.1.
1. Using the World Wide Web has changed the world and life we have today. People used to rely on mail, or phones, to get us through to communicate. More than three-fourths of the people I know use e-mail to keep in touch with me. Me, well, I’m not aloud to have a Myspace, or Facebook, so I never get involved with that stuff. There are so many ways to communicate, or talk, or post, or blog on the internet. It has changed the way people in college or even middle/high school learn. The web has changed my life a lot. I not only use e-mail. I use IM, Youtube, Smosh, Webgrader, and other websites to occupy my time, or to research school work. Maybe it’s as simple as trying to find out what a word means on the web dictionary. I use the internet all the time. I’m on the internet about an hour-in-a-half each day. More on the weekends, because of my free time. I use the World Wide Web a lot, and it has changed everything, not just me, but everyone around me.
2. I organize information in and from my life on my computer. I organize pictures, my itunes music, but most of all I organize on the internet. I can arrange my favorite web sites on my favorites. Or I can type something on Microsoft Word, then e-mail to anyone I want to. My PC knows where to send it, how to send it, and who to send it to. My e-mail keeps everything I need; my Youtube account organizes my favorite songs or videos. Mt itunes keeps my music I buy organized. Plus it tells me how much money I spend. If only it told me when I should stop. The web has kept me organized, and hopefully always will.
3. Usually when I get home the first thing I do is turn the TV on, then I get my laptop and set it in front of me. I watch TV for about 2-3 hours a day. While watching TV I check my e-mail and IM if anyone is signed on. Then after I get any homework, or piano practice I need done, done. I talk on my cell phone to numerous friends. I try to refrain myself from doing the technology thing to long each day, but it’s very hard. Cell phones, internet, and TV, all of these things aren’t just loves we have. These turn into addictions. You can’t stop talking, or watching, or typing. I have problems with texting on my cell. It’s very hard to stop texting one of your best friends. I am learning at school. But I want to learn more about life stuff, and how to deal, more than 2+2=4. I want to learn about the life stuff I’ll need in 10 years.

1.Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Using the web changed my life quite a lot! In a way it is better for me but at the same time it is worse. It’s better for me because I can get a lot of things done faster & research too. It’s a great source! But at the same time its worse because the web can get you addicted to it real easy like say instant messaging. Myspace, Tagged, Face book, Bebo & other websites like this can also get you addicted. You can be on the computer for about 4hours & not even know it! You will be surprised on how many hours a day you spend on the computer chatting, listening to music, & emailing; I honestly think it is crazy! My mom says that the internet is a sin! But yet we still use it. Think about it…what if we didn’t have internet what would most kids or people be doing? What if the whole Internet system got shut down, how crazy do you think the world would be? I think it would be to chaotic to even talk about!
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
I organize my life by just planning out day by day. I think you have to take 1 day at a time. I plan & say what I’m going to do that day & if it’s really important then I put it in my phone scheduler so it can remind me. Also if it is a big event & lots of things are happening I write it all out & I have a Gmail so I also put things in there too because I check my mail at least once a day & it reminds things when I do put it in there. Being more organized can have a big impact on my life because I have to know what is going on & if I don’t I forget to do a lot of things & I start loosing track. Once I loose track I feel like I’m going to go crazy! It makes my life a whole lot better knowing that I have things to remind me of important things! It is a good feeling!!!
3.In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Be completely honest and tell me what you do with your time after school. After school I get home & just settle in for about 10mins. Then I do chores or start on my homework. I spend about 30mins to an hour and a half doing homework & if it’s a big assignment then it’ll probably take longer. When I’m all done with that I listen to music most of the time & if I watch TV its only for an episode or the time period of that movie. When my dad gets off the computer & nobody else is on I ask to go on & if he says yes than I’m on sometimes till I go to sleep or for about 3-4hours. If I talk on the phone on the weekends I talk for about 4hrs all together. (It use to be worse) and really if I’m not doing anything else then I’m either listening to music & just making arts & crafts. Honestly I am learning some things at school, but really not a whole lot. In tech I already know most of the stuff it’s just that I need to improve on typing. In my core classes the stuff I’m learning I already learned it. In California our standards are way different. For example 10th grade math (Geometry) out here in Michigan is 9th grade math in California. So in a way yes I am learning in school but not a lot or at least not new stuff.

1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
The web has changed my life in many ways. Some ways in which the web has changed my life is; the web can help explain things better when you look them up more than looking them up some where else, you can communicate in many different ways on the web, and you can be home schooled on the web. If we didn’t have the web our life wouldn’t be as easy as they are right now.
Without the web people wouldn’t be able to do things as neatly. And peoples lives would be a pain because they don’t have a computer, and computers can do almost everything.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
The way I organize my things is by putting them in a folder or writing them down in a planner or something so that I don’t forget it. Organizing has a big impact on my life because if I didn’t organize things then I would probably forget half the stuff I was asked to do. I think organizing things helps a lot of people in many ways. Like; help people to remember things no matter if they are big things or little things, and people won’t have to have to rethink about what they needed to do because they have it written down or organized.
If people didn’t organize things then life wouldn’t be as easy as it is now, because people would probably forget a lot of things.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. As soon as I get home I usually get right on my homework, eat dinner, take a shower and then do my hair. But if I have time after my homework sometimes I go on the computer, watch TV or listen to music. And normally when a friend calls I answer my phone a talk for a while.
I think I am learning a lot in school. At school I have been learning how to do things a lot better and I have been learning new things every day. One thing that I would like to learn would be how to do things better and faster but at the rate that I completely understand things.

1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
My Answer…
I think the web changes your life. Because you can go to anything you want if you just type it in on the search bar, when we get on the internet it adds on to billions that are online at the same time you are. It changes my life. Cause you can look up different countries and states and it will show different languages I think its cool.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
My answer…
I organize with folders on the computer. Or any kind of folder. And then I label it. Because. I don’t want to lose my things. I only like doing things once I don’t like doing things over and over again. I think it’s a good idea to be organized so you don’t lose things. When being organized, it helps you to remember things. Because I have homework folder and then I have a folder with just a bunch of subjects in it. So that’s why I think it’s good to be organized.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Be completely honest and tell me what you do with your time after school. how much time do you spend watching TV, talking on your cell phone, chatting online with friends, etc. Additionally, tell me what you are learning here at school...are you learning? Is learning important to you? Why? Or, if not, then why not? What would you like to learn here at HWMS? Think about your answers before writing them. Explain your answers and give details to support your statements.
My answer…
I do pretty much everything after school. I’m really busy. I do get online and talk to friends. I do talk on the phone. And I do get my homework done. I really spend a lot of time on the phone. Maybe about three to four hours each day… but I get most of my homework done. I do have poms three days a week for two hours… so that’s what I do during the week.
1. I think that the World Wide Web has changed in the past few years. The reason I think it has changed is because I used to only use the computer for information. Now I use it for a lot of things. Like instant messaging, email, games, and a lot more. I don’t think it is that good of a thing to keep advancing so fast so its sort of a bad thing I guess. I only think this because on internet pages like my space and face book you can learn a lot about a person from little things they write about themselves. For example if you posted what state you lived in and said you played in a baseball team or some type of sport with your jersey number somebody could easily look for your team and find you. Also for what number you were they could look for your number and get you. Also my space can get hacked into and people can mess up your life. It isn’t bad if you don’t post a lot of things about yourself. It can still be for the worse sometimes though.
2. In my life in not really all that organized because I have a lot of things I need to do everyday. Sometimes I can get really organized for like a day but then it’s messed up again. Organizing is helpful because then you can e things done better and do things quicker. Being organized makes your life much better. When I’m organized I get a lot done but I’m usually not so I have a lot to do. I don’t think I’ve had a time when being organized was a bad thing so it certainly will always help in my case. When I’m organized I get my homework done. Then I get time on the computer to instant message. Then ill have some free time to do what ever else I need to.
3. After school I get right onto the computer and talk to my friends. I used to do my homework right once I got home but ever since I became unorganized I’ve been forgetting a lot of homework. I spend about almost 4 to 5 hours on the computer and TV combined each day. I’m on my phone for probably an hour and a half each day. At school I am learning somewhat. Most of the time I either don’t understand it or I just don’t want to. Learning is important to me because I want to be able to get a good job.
In highlander way I want to learn the basic things to get me ready for high school. That’s so in high school I will be able to decide what classes I want to take. Also what I want to be when I’m older.
1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
The web has changed my life by being able to do work faster and talk to friend’s easer. Some times it can be a bad thing because all you want is to be talking to your friends but then it can be a good thing because its easer to write papers and find the information on the web. You can do so much but its not all ways good, people don’t get out side as much as they should they get sucked into the web. With websites like MySpace, bebo, imvu, and then aim, msn, yahoo it’s getting easer to talk and find out what everyone is doing. But it is also a fear for someone to try to find you or some people put some things on that don’t belong on the web for everyone to see. But websites like Google, yahoo search, ask, you can get info for reports faster and easer.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
I organize my info by having paper copies and having them saved in a couple spots on my computer. Being more organized is a good thing in my life it gets everything together. It will impact my life by not as easily losing papers and information I need. It will make it better because you will be able to have papers or other info in different places all saved so it will be really hard to miss place info. Being more organize you wont have to rewrite papers if you know where they are, will be able to get a hold of them easer.
3.In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Be completely honest and tell me what you do with your time after school.
After school I spend time with my brother then go online for a couple of hours talking to friends if I’m not out side. I don’t watch too much TV only a few nights the week there is a few shows me and my mom watch. I’m almost never on the phone its so much easer to talk online. At school we are learning all kinds of stuff but some times it seems to be that we are learning more how to talk to other people because ever where you go people are talking about different stuff. Yeah we are learning but not as much as we should. Learning is important to me you need to have a good education to get through life, with out learning you would be nothing not able to do anything. I don’t know what I want to learn but I do know I want to learn. As long as I’m learning and doing well in school this year I am happy with that.

1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
The World Wide Web has changed my life by letting be able to find new ways of finding information, learning how to use technology to talk to friends and family online. Most of my friends I know talk to me through e-mail or instant messenger. The web has changed the way I learn, talk, and view what you call the “future”.
New advances in the World Wide Web I think is both, for better and worse. It has been better for the people who absolutely cannot leave their house for medical conditions because you can take online classes for school. You can learn new information about cures for diseases and learn about the world. The worse part of technology is that most kids, teens, and adults are online most of their free time instead of going outside or doing something better with their time. I know I go on the web more than I should. Most teens these days are getting hurt by predators online which is a down side. But overall the web is a better piece of technology that they have thought of.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
I organize information in my life by using the computer. I type any essays, papers, or projects on the computer because it saves time when I have many other things to do. I mostly use the computer to organize pictures, papers, essays, movies, and many other things. Being more organized impacts my life by using the time I would have wasted trying to find what I was looking in papers or notebooks and using it to do something I more time of. If all my information is on the computer it is easy to just print it off than trying to copy on paper. I have more time for other homework or chores than if I was trying to look for everything all the time. Being more organized will make my life even better. If I stay organized, I will have a better chance of learning new ideas, getting my school work in on time, and making sure I have all of my work done. Being more organized will help my everyday life. Since two off my classes are advanced I have to stay organized to keep up my grades or else I would fail my classes.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Be completely honest and tell me what you do with your time after school. How much time do you spend watching TV, talking on your cell phone, chatting online with friends, etc? Additionally, tell me what you are learning here at school...are you learning? Is learning important to you? Why? Or, if not, then why? What would you like to learn here at HWMS? Think about your answers before writing them. Explain your answers and give details to support your statements.
I do many things with my time after school. First when I get home, I check the computer to look at my grades. After that I usually go do my homework. It takes about half hour to an hour. Then once that is done I try to get most of my chores done that I have. It takes me about one hour. Then if I have time left, I go on the computer or watch TV. I usually go on YouTube or just play online games. I am not allowed to have Myspace, Facebook or any other one of those. I am on the computer for about 2 hours. But it usually depends on how much time I have after I get everything done.
I am learning that computers are not just to trash, they are a piece of technology that advances as we go on into the future. I know now how to work with computers and know how to use them. My dad doesn’t even know how to use them because he never got a chance to work with computers when he was in school. Learning is important to me. My education depends on if I get into college and how good of a job I get. I love to learn knew things that will help me in the future. What I would like to learn here at HWMS is how to help me prepare for high school. I hope that I still will have good grades in high school and that I will get into a good college.

1> Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Answer: the web changed my life because it helps me with my homework. Like when I have a question like where did Lincoln live and it would tell me where he lived and more. Also I go on it when I’m board which is a lot. Better because if I didn’t have the web I would be doing my projects in research books “eww”. And keeps you updated on things. Like the news if you were clueless what to wear for the day.
It also helps write stories faster so u don’t have to keep scribbling things out when you write your final draft and keep having to start over and over again. I use the web for checking on how my friends are doing, playing games, learning too. But you have to be careful what you do because u could get viruses. And it will be easier for you to research if you can just type and click but anywhere else you have to look through stuff.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Answer: organizing will change my by how it keeps everything were you know where it is. It will defiantly make things better because really know one is organized so if you cant find things u will lose a lot of your stuff and it helps people find things. I use a little bit of organization every day like when I write in my planner. There are different sections for each and every day. Like today there’s a section for 12/7/07.
Also you can keep track on your bills and your taxes on the computer so you wouldn’t have to leave the house or anything. There’s also address books, and you can store you pictures. But everything has to be in a folder, but you just look it up and there’s what ever you wanted.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Is learning important to you? Why? Or, if not, then why not? What would you like to learn here at Hilander Way Middle School? Think about your answers before writing them. Explain your answers and give details to support your statements.
Answer: I watch TV about 2 hours a day online maybe 2 or 4 on the cell phone all the time..! and I am learning taking notes and I will still no it in the future. And really do care about learning because if u don’t learn and u just slack off u will not get good grades and then u cant get in to a good collage and last u wouldn’t be able to get the job you want. And I would like to learn stuff that’s important for the future like stuff in every single class some stuff we won’t use at all. And we need to know what’s going to be out there. Like collages, money, Cars also.

1.How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for better or for worse?
Over the years, the web changed my life. Every week, it seems like, my dad always has to come in my room and change how my computer runs. But it’s not just that. Everyday people make new websites, and on Youtube, people add new videos all the time. To me it’s like: If our world is changing, so is the web.
The web changed my life in a good way. I have good entertainment, and I can get information easier for school. If I didn’t have the web, then I couldn’t download songs onto my phone. I love music, but I don’t like listening to songs I don’t like on the radio. The only place I could get music I like is on the web. This is how the web changed my life for better.
2.The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
I think I’m organized. I know where everything is in my room, or in folders for school. I think being organized doesn’t necessarily mean being neat, I think it means knowing where everything is. I organize things for school by subject. Each subject has a folder, and in that folder are things only for that class and organized by what I need, and what is done, but still could need it in the future.
I think I’m as organized as I can be. I’m a perfectionist, so I like things to in order and neat. Sometimes I even organize other people’s folders for school because it bugs me so much. My locker is even organized. So instead of looking for a book for 5 minutes, I can just grab it and get to class. This is why I think I’m already organized.
3.In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Be completely honest and tell me what you do with your time after school. How much time do you spend watching TV, talking on your cell phone, chatting online with friends, etc? Additionally, tell me what you are learning here at school...are you learning? Is learning important to you? Why? Or, if not, then why not? What would you like to learn here at HWMS? Think about your answers before writing them. Explain your answers and give details to support your statements.
In my spare time, I watch TV, hang out with my friends, and go on the computer. The time I spend watching TV is about 2 hours a day. The time I spend talking to friends on my cell phone is hardly ever because I don’t like to talk to people on the phone. I only talk to them if it’s an emergency. I’m on the computer for 3 hours a day. I usually go on the web for 2 hours, and do my homework on the computer for 1 hour. In school I’m learning how to do prime factorization in Math. Also in Science, I’m doing a project about the environment.
I believe learning is very important. It’s important because you will get a better education and a better future. I want to be an Egyptologist when I grow up. This means I wan to study everything about Egypt. I would like to learn about Egypt at an early age so I can do well in college. I want to learn about Egypt here at Highlander Way.

1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Using the World Wide Web has changed my life a lot in the past years. I don’t always research out of books now. Usually, I research online. This helps because instead of only getting one reference source, I can get a million online. Another reason it helps is because researching online is a lot quicker. With books it can take a long time, while the internet it doesn’t.
The World Wide Web has been for the better. It is a great achievement and advanced in a lot of ways. Almost everyone uses it daily. If we didn’t have the World Wide Web, technology wouldn’t be where it is now.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
I organize information by putting papers in specific folders. If I had math homework, I would put it in the math folder. Another way is writing stuff down. I put everything I right down in my room in a specific place so I know what to do.
Being more organized can impact my life by making it easier. It will make it a lot better because I wouldn’t have to remember what homework I had. It would be right in the folder. When I organize I get better grades. If I don’t organize I have to remember stuff to study and it is very hard. That’s when I get bad grades. This is how I organize.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. After school I do my homework for around 40 minutes. I’m on the computer for an hour and a half. I watch TV about two and a half hours after school. I go to extra activities (Sports, Religious Ed, ect.) around an hour and a half each day. Right now I’m learning symmetry figures in Geometry. In science I’m learning about acid rain and in social studies I’m learning about Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson. In English we are doing science fiction. This is what I do after school and what I’m learning right now.
Learning is very important to me. I want to go to a good college and have a good job. With the economy right now I am even pushing harder for good grades. This is why learning is important to me.

1. Using the World Wide Web has changed my life a lot, in a good way. The World Wide Web has helped me to research for projects many times. I would much rather stay at home and find my information than having to go to the library and research through tons of book. All I have to do is type in the subject I want through a search (Google, yahoo, ECT.) and I will get listing of sites and summaries on them so I can decide whether or not that site would be beneficial as a source. I also like to use the web to email, instant message, and play games. The World Wide Web is very helpful in the fact that you can get information with the click of a button, but you have to watch how you use it too.
2. I organize the information in my life either through folders, binders, planners, drawers, and even the computer. The computer can hold files, documents, and other sources. You can even make folders on the computer to hold files in. Being more organized can impact your life in a good way. You can use folders in school to organize your school work by subject or class, instead of carrying it all, maybe by hand or in one folder, and getting all mixed up, or even losing it. The time you need that paper, you can go back into the folder, of that paper’s subject, and get it out. So you don’t have to scramble to find a paper you may have lost.
3. After school, I am usually at pom practice for the HWMS team. This is on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, two hours each day, so this takes up a lot of my time. I go online, maybe two times a week, if that, to instant message. When I do though, it is for about an hour and a half. I spend about one to two hours watching TV, an hour after school (on the days I don’t have pom), and one hour after I finish homework, at night. I don’t really talk on my cell phone that much, but I use my home phone a lot, to talk to my friends. I am learning a lot here at HWMS. I usually have, maybe, an hour of homework every night, sometimes two. As much as I don’t like homework, I do it. I like having good grades, so I study and work very hard, to get an A. At HWMS, I would like to learn basic skills I will need to prepare me for the future, because I never know what is ahead of me.

1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
1. It has changed my life for the better because I can study online which is a lot easier than carrying home really heavy books. I also can talk to my friends whenever I want and I don’t have to pay for any minutes or anything that has to do with phones. You can look up pretty much anything you want and you can learn all you need to know because of the technology we have today. You can look up information that you cant find in books and you can find entertainment like video games that if you don’t want to go to the store. So it makes life a lot easier than it was before today. I can organize all my class work that I have done on the computer and I can even take tests on my laptop. You can talk to family at war in Iraq by just turning on a camera hooked to your computer. It also helps you speak different languages that you can learn. If you know how to use the internet, than you can definitely keep up with the worlds changing’s. This is how the web has changed my life.
2. I have been organized for not to long. I used to throw papers where ever I wanted and didn’t care. But since my mom and dad got me my laptop it has changed my organization thinking a lot. I organize by a file in laptop for my school work that I have done on they’re. But when it’s not in my laptop, its in folders or in a file cabinet that I keep all of the papers that I don’t need right now but probably later. It can definitely change your life because you will be able to keep up with your self. I have a planner that I keep in my room but when I plan to go to the orthodontist or any other place I put it in there so I can keep up. It has also changed my moms life because she owns a daycare and she has a lot of files to keep hold of so she needs 2 or 3 file cabinets just to put all the files into.
3. I probably spend about 2-3 hours watching T.V. But most of the time I do that before I go to bed. I usually am outside or on the computer chatting online. I probably spend 2 hours talking online and maybe ten minutes on the phone. But I do text a lot on my phone. I think I am learning at school, some of them I do want to learn about, but some of them I don’t. Learning is very important to me because my mom and dad say that I am the smarts in the family. I am really smart but I don’t use it all the time. Sometimes I just mess around and don’t get anything done in class and I know it. And I am trying to work on not to. I’d like to learn on how to speak a language like German because most of my ancestors are from there.
1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
The World Wide Web changed my life for the better because it enables me to access information almost instantly, without having to go to a library or asking someone. Anytime I have a question, I don’t have to find someone who knows or look in a book. I can just type the question in a search engine and the answer will pop up. When I find a web page that information is on, I don’t have to look in an index to find what I need, like I would with a book. I can just press Ctrl + F, and the section needed is instantly found. It can be a lot easier than finding the index, looking for the page, and then scanning through the page for the information I need. But the Web has other positive uses besides looking for information. E-mails and instant messages allow me to instantly communicate with someone miles away. Websites like Myspace and Facebook can help people get to know others that live around the world. Using a blog can help you express yourself to others. Shopping online offers a wider variety of products than going to a store, and is also less hassle. The Internet also provides hours of entertainment, whether it’s watching a video on Youtube or playing an online game.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
In my life I organize information using various folders, notebooks, calendars, computer documents, and my brain. Being more organized can impact my life by helping me remember important places to be and at what time. It can help me remember holidays, including people’s birthdays. Being more organized could help me get better grades by helping me remember important assignments and when they are due. Being organized makes life easier, since you don’t have to look for things, you know right where they are. There is more time to do things when you are organized, since all of your time doesn’t go into looking for things. Organized people are also more relaxed, since they are not stressed out by lost items or information. On the other hand, disorganized people have it harder. They are spending too much time looking for things, as well as forgetting important things, like a phone call they need to return, or someone’s anniversary. They are more stressed out, since they have to worry about where things are. All in all, it is much better to be organized.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Be completely honest and tell me what you do with your time after school. After school, I usually spend about half an hour to an hour on homework, depending on how much I have. After that, I watch TV or read for a while, then I have dinner. Most of the time after that, I do chores, use the computer, or watch TV. During the whole afternoon and evening, I spend time text messaging on my cell phone, like during commercials, for example. At school, I am learning about plate tectonics, volcanoes, and earthquakes in science. In social studies, I am learning about the Constitution. In English, I am learning about science fiction. In math, our class is learning about factorization. Learning is important to me because getting a proper education is the start to a good career. Here at HWMS, I would like to learn about history, and how things work.
1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
The World Wide Web has changed my life a lot in the last few years. The best part about it is the videos you can watch. The World Wide Web also provides me with information. The World Wide Web has many websites that give me information. I can type into Google whatever information I’m looking for and find it for me.
There are even games on the World Wide Web. There are bad websites too though. Chatting on the World Wide Web can cause identity theft, harassment, even danger. The World Wide Web is definitely for the better though. I just have to stay away from the bad things.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
I organize things with computer windows. I definitely need to be more organized. It would have a great impact on my life. It would make my life better. The biggest thing is that being more organized can help my grades.
It would help me keep track of where my assignments are and when they’re due.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Be completely honest and tell me what you do with your time after school. I like to spend about an hour on the computer. I love to play video games for about two hours. I like to watch TV for an hour. The rest of my time is usually homework. I usually don’t talk on the phone or chat online with my friends that often.
I am learning a lot in school. I am learning about life. Learning is very important to me. It helps me in life. I want to learn a lot about technology. Technology and what it is capable of. T.J. Kirby

1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
The web has changed my life in a lot of different ways. Using the web can make things in life a lot easier. Such as looking up information about things you want to learn about, or news that’s happening currently in the world. I think that the World Wide Web has been for the better in my life. The World Wide Web has changed the way people do just about anything. Ever since the new things that have become available on the web it has made things a lot easier. The web can be used for things such as gathering information about different topics, entertainment like playing games, and you can even shop on the web. The web can also be used for communication purposes like e-mail, posting videos for others to watch, places like myspace, and other things too. There’s so much information on the net that if you know how to use it, it can help you keep up with the ever changing world. That is how the web has changed my life for the better.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
How I organize information in my life is I put things where I know they’ll be later so I won’t lose it and waste time looking for it. I also group them with other things that have to do with each other. Being organized can impact your life better or may be worse it kind of depends how the person is. But for me being organized makes my life a lot easier. Positively or negatively it kind of depends on how you are. It can affect you positively if you lose things easily and you’re not very organized. But if someone like that were to organize they would probably have easier lives because they won’t lose everything and they know where to find all of their things. But organizing may be negative and may not help your life what so ever. For example, if you don’t organize things very well you may just end up more messed up than before. That is how organization can affect a person’s life positively or negatively.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Be completely honest and tell me what you do with your time after school. My time after school isn’t used for very many useful things, what I do after school is kind of a waste of time except for homework. After school I may spend a tremendous of time watching TV because I have nothing better to do. During the day I may usually spend in between 4 to 6 hours watching TV. I also spend some of my time on the computer which is usually about 1 to 2 hours a day. The time on the computer may be used for different things including homework, games, talking with friends, etc. I also spend a small amount of time on finishing homework which usually takes no longer than a half hour. Yes, I am learning new things at school but that may not always be the case. Sometimes I really am learning new things but sometimes I feel like I’m being told things I already know. Learning is important to me, even though I dislike going to school, but I still believe learning and going to school is important. I believe learning and getting an education is important because I’m motivated to do well in school so I can get a good job and not feel like I just wasted my time for years; and if I look at my grades I know its true because I’m currently getting A’s.

1. Using the world life web has changed my life in many ways. One way it has changed my life is by getting into trouble or getting in fights. I will get into fights with friends over the internet for stupid reasons and my parents finding out about stuff that people talk to me about in the wide open and do not ask me in private and my parents find out. Another way it changes my life is by learning, I learn so much over the internet through little things. I learn about what is going on in the world through blogs and websites. I learn from my friends how to create something on MySpace to make it look better than it was. The main thing that has changed my life with the internet is typing and getting homework done on it, it is easier to look things up on the internet than in books to make it more complicated than it should be. The internet has made my life good and bad. There is things I have done wrong on the internet to make my life bad at the moment and there is things good that make my life good at that precise time. So the internet is not always one feeling in me.
2. There are many ways I organize my life in different ways. One way I organize my life is by draws to put my clothes in, but sometimes the clothes never make it to the draws and sit on the ground. Another way my life is organized is my cell phone. This provides me with not having to carry a phone book around so I don’t have to go through a book to look up numbers. I do not have a real job I am self employed so I do not have to organize people’s birthdates and personal information in filing cabinets. In school I have a locker and folders to keep certain papers in the right spots so if English papers need to go somewhere they have their own folder that is for every class. This has made a difference in my life I am more organized than some people which is good.
3. After school I get onto a bus and go to Parker to wrestle with high school kids. We have study time in the school library. When I get there I sign in and sit by a computer and watch them play a little then I will go to a corner so I can concentrate after I am done with my homework it is usually time to go to practice. After practice my dad picks me up and we go home, then I take a shower and eat dinner. I have to make my lunch. The rest of the night I usually go down stairs and get onto the computer for about an hour. Then someone will call my cell phone and I will get off and talk to them for awhile. I am not learning much it is easy for me in school. But I am still learning enough. Learning is important to me because I need to get good grades in high school to be able to go to a good college. I would like to be placed into more advanced classes to get a better education than I have at this moment.

1. Yes, the web has changed my life. It was for better. The web has changed my life by letting me order stuff online, it let me talk to my friends, email people, etc. It is better for me because I can get homework help by emailing a friend or teacher. It lets me keep up on seeing my grades by using web grader. I can play games on the web and learn things. I tend to use Google a lot, which is very helpful to find research. I also use dictionary.com to help me with definitions. So the web has changed my life. Also, for the better.
2. I organize my information by using folders, binders, slots, and drawers. Being organized does have an impact on your life, if you ask me. For example, when your organized you can defiantly find stuff easier. So if you need to find a certain paper for like social studies, and you have a folder for it, you can just open the folder and find the paper easily! But if your not organized and you need to find a social studies paper, and you don’t have a folder, you’ll tend to either not find it, or find it crumpled up in your planner.
3. After school I normally, honestly, go on the computer for 2-3 hours, watch TV while doing homework, and then eat dinner. On Tuesdays I have dance for 45 minutes. On Thursdays I have dance for 2 hours. On some days when I want to talk to somebody important in my life I’ll call them and be on the phone with them for about 2 hours. I’m learning math, social studies, science, and English. I am learning. Learning is important to me. It is because when I get o

1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
The web has changed my life by the time I spend on the computer everyday. And when I need to know something I go on the internet and look it up. I believe that the web is bad and good. It is bad because to may people are on it. They don’t get the excursive we all need; instead they are on the computer. Things I do on the web are myspace, aim, youtube. All of these things have changed my life. In good and bad ways. These websites give me something to do and a place to chat with friends. But then again people have fights over the internet through these websites and can get in a lot of trouble.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
I organize things in my life by putting things in order. Being more organized in your life will help you in the future. If you a get a job where you cant work in messy and disorganized situations. I believe being organized will help me. It helps everyone through life. It makes life go faster and easier. The internet also helps people get more organized because you can print out things. For example if you’d a research paper done you could use the web to find your notes. You wouldn’t have the problem in having to write your notes. It is easier to keep track of and more neat and when you’re done you can just print the notes off. And you are on your way.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Be completely honest and tell me what you do with your time after school. After school I go home, work on homework, and watch a little TV. I have a snack or two then I play on the internet until I have to go to bed. On my cell phone probably two hours a day, im not really a bigger talker. Watching TV about 2 hours a day too. Online about 4 hours a day, I love myspace and aim. At school I believe I am learning in some classes but, others not so well. Learning is important to me, why because in the future I am going to need being smart if I want to go to college and get a successful job. I believe HWMS teaches me and prepares me more for high school and my future. I think the teachers also help with teaching me at this school.

1.Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
1a: Using the web has changed my life in many was like now I can go online and look up stuff for my projects and I can talk to my friends over the computer that I do not talk to anymore because I use to live in Detroit Mi and all my friends that I use to hang out with I left and now that I have a good and fast computer I can talk to them whenever I like. I think that the web has made my life better because I can work on a lot of stuff like getting pictures on google.com of stuff like that I can watch videos on you tube and stuff like that. That is why I think that the internet has helped me in the past and will help me in the future.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
2a: The ways I organize in my life is I cheep a planner I have a desk at my house in my room I have a lot of my work on my computer in my room when ever I want to see what I am working on I just hook my computer to my TV in my room and read it off of that instead of just looking at a computer or a book and when I have something do soon I just put a notice on my wall saying that I have to turn it in soon so get it down I have a file cabinet in my room to keep all the work I am done with in there to keep it neat and nice and work that I have to turn in the next day I just put it on my pin board on the back of my door.
3a: When I am at home after school I come home and do my homework then go take a walk with my dogs then come in side and spend about a hour and a half on my computer watch TV for about 2 hours and then eat take a shower then go lay in my bed watch TV and talk to my friends on my cell phone after that I am usually in bed and fall asleep. What I am learning in school is a lot of math stuff like monomials they are fun to learn about but they I have hard quizzes after we are done with a chapter. Yes learning is important to me because the world is killing its self we are losing jobs and I need a good collage to get me a good job. Those are some things I do after school and stuff I learn in school.
#1 Using the World Wide Web has changed my life because I have friends that I never see. The reason why I’m saying this is because if their was no such thing as email then I could never get a hold of those people.
Myspace is another site because I have a lot of fun and I also get to talk to my friends. Plus all the game web sites and search engine it can also help with school work. Because if you have a project and you can not get enough info then you can just type it in. there are bad things too on the internet so it’s not always good. But parents are aloud to block stuff like that. So I do believe internet has changed our lives. Those were the reasons I believe the internet can change our lives.
#2 the way I organize my life is I plan things out before they happen so I know what’s going on that day. So I’m kind of like a teacher even though I never want to be one that’s kind of what I do. The way I can be more organized is write down things coming up? Of what is to come because I can’t always remember what’s going on. Another one is to have a schedule of what I need to do for chores because I am a messy person and my room is always dirty.
I think that these things will make my life a little easier because my dad might not yell at me as much. But this still has a down side. Because this will make my work harder. Another way it may help is when people come over they wont think I’m as much of a slob cause my room was so dirty even though it isn’t always dirty. I think that it can make me a neater person. Those are the ways I would change my organization.
#3 what I do after school is I go home and my dads best friends girlfriend works at the little restaurant by my house so I go their and get something’s to drink. After that I spend about well a long time watching TV and talking on the phone. But usually I’m never doing my homework. Every now and then I go to my house and heartland and play. The reason is I have 500 acres and lots of friends their. If anyone caught me doing my homework at home they should think I was sick.
I’m on the internet like every other day to talk to people. And honestly learning is important to me because I want to get into a good collage and get a good education. So I can have a good job and support my family. What I learn about in hwms is I learn about bearing stuff that I can’t really explain. But that’s what I do when I get home after school and does and what I learn about.
1.) The World Wide Web has changed my life, a lot. Although, it is for reasons, better and worse. It is for the better because it helps my family’s company a lot. We have a mortgage business so the World Wide Web helps us with finding places, locations, and information on them. We also use the computers help us with our program that we use to keep the data of our mortgage customers in.
It is for the worst because whenever the World Wide Web gets updated or a website stops giving us information that we have used for a long time, we have to go find a different website that gives accurate and true information. Also, as the World Wide Web changes over the years it makes it more difficult for us to keep business together because sometimes, the program we find may give us false information which makes it difficult for us.
2.) In my family we use the Microsoft Excel program to organize our information. It helps a lot. But now, we have a new program that we use that is called Gator. It is supposed to be a lot easier to use and so far all of our employees agree. We still have to teach them a little bit about it but it is quick and easy to learn.
My dad (the owner and president of the company) says that it has made it a lot easier. “The Gator system stores information in a different way that is simpler, more efficient and better for our company” is what my dad says. I like helping my dad with work because I get to use this system and it is very useful. It has made life a whole lot easier. Normally the people who work with us have to go to county buildings which may sometimes be way out of their way. But with the Gator program they can do most of the work at their desks. They still may have to go to the counties for some things, but not as often or as long as they used to.
3.) After school, I normally ride my 4-wheeler, instant message my friends for a little while, play computer games with my sister and brother, read a book, play my saxophone, play game cube with my brother, listen to music, and sleep. I am pretty relaxed at home when it comes to doing things after school. I am not allowed to talk on my cell phone to friends so I call them from the house phone but I am not really the chattiest person when it comes to the phone. I also, sometimes, after school will have piano lessons or jazz band to take care of. I really like to play instruments after school. I also may have a trip to go on, like going to Florida or Ohio.
Learning is very important to me. When I get older, I would like to be a marine biologist or to work at SeaWorld. I need to learn a lot about animal’s lives, diets, medications if necessary, and such to become a marine biologist. I hope to learn about biology a little bit in science this year. It would be fun, I think, to work with animals. So, learning is very important to me. It is also important for me because I would like to go to a nice college and get a good college education.
1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Answer: Using the World Wide Web has helped and hurt my life. There is many its helps me. It helps me with my homework or with finding out how to make or do things. Or for just blank entertainment I go on my space and talk and watch videos or just listen to music.
Or I go on sites like Gaiaonline.com it’s an amateur RPG site and it’s a lot of fun to me. But in the same instance it hurts me. It drains my time makes me dumber and other side effects. I sometimes rush through things just to get on the internet and that has some effects. It can hurt my grades in school or get in fights with my family. So in a review I guess the internet helps my life more than it hurts it.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Answer: In my life I organize information on my space or in my shelf. Being more organized can help you in many ways. You can know were everything was in you’re in a large hurry.
Or if some life crisis happens then you’re organized and you know were everything is and you can be fine. But in the same way being organized is not always the best thing to have. Sometimes it is better to be laid back and have things scattered about. If you have it scattered out you would normally know were things are at compared to being organized. If you have every thing put in shelf’s you have to search through the shelf to find a certain thing. But if you have it laid all over the floor then you can just pick it up off the floor. That is why it is both good and bad to have everything organized.
3. in the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Be completely honest and tell me what you do with your time after school. How much time do you spend watching TV, talking on your cell phone, chatting online with friends, etc? Additionally, tell me what you are learning here at school...are you learning? Is learning important to you? Why? Or, if not, then why not? What would you like to learn here at HWMS? Think aobut your answers before writing them. Explain your answers and give details to support your statements.
Answer: In my spare time I am half active half couch potato. Ill go out and kick around the football. Or go outside with my dad and play catch. I will also go about and ride my bike through out the sub. But also I will also go for a jog around the sub or down Henderson road.
But the other half of the day Ill go on the computer or watch .TV. Yes school is important to me. Ill admit to sometimes sneaking out my phone and texting or putting on my hoodie and listen to my ipod. But I do care about school. I will be the first Mooran male toe ever go to a major college if I do. It means a lot to me to make my dad proud of my give him the son he always wanted. So that is how I think about school.
1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Yes, the web has changed very dramatically the past few years, it has changed my life for the better and for the worse at the same time.
Changing my life for the better. I would say this has been the general thing that world wide web has done for me. It is a great convenience for me. If I need to find a piece of information its right there literally at my fingertips. If the library is closed, it doesn’t matter because I have everything that I need at my fingertips.
In contrast the worldwide web has also had a negative affect on not particularly my life but the in general it has enabled people to very unethical things. It has also caused a lot of worry for some parents.
2. he second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Being organized is something everyone one needs. Being organized means being more efficient to me. When I organize information whether it be school work or a note from my mother about putting dinner in the oven. I am likely to shove it in a folder or a pocket. Knowing where it is makes me organized. This makes more efficient in the things I do. If I am more efficient, I have more time for leisure. When I have leisure time I am happy. I like being happy. It is good. That is what being organized dose for me. That is one reason that I really like to use the computer.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest aobut what they do with their time and what they are learning. In my free time some of it is spent on the computer and on my cell phone. Other time is spent on my homework. Here at highlander Way I am learning everything I need to learn. I am not learning anything I would not want to be learning. I like the way it is at highlander way. I feel that everything they are doing is good. It is fun. The teachers are nice. Highlander way is doing a good job. That is how I feel about my learning.

1.Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Using the web has changed my life because now I can instantly talk to my friends when ever I want to. Plus I can do it without getting yelled at. There are also a lot of fun games on the computer that I can play. So the thing is I can do what ever I want the computer with out getting in trouble for it. So I actually owe you Miss Colburn because now I can do some things that I never new how to do… like blogs for instance. I never new how to do them. So Thank You.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Organization will probably help improve my science grade from a D to a B. Yes organization will make my life better because then I could go into my room without getting lost for once. The only way it would not help is if my niece is at my house because she will destroy my room again. So basically I’m in trouble no matter what I do in this world. Another thing I will probably never use this because I cannot organize anything to save my life.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest abut what they do with their time and what they are learning. After school I go home and watch TV. I do my homework in my first hour Program Success class. I spend about 3 hours watching TV. I don’t have a cell phone so there is no problem there. I can’t go on the internet because I’m grounded from everything except myspace.com so again no problem there. I’m learning about how the constitution has changed our lives. Learning is not very important to me because most of the stuff I’m learning I already know. I don’t know what I would like to learn because I don’t like learning.

1. Using the World Wide Web has changed my life. I think it’s changed my life for the better. I’m able to research for projects to help me with school work. I also can check my grades on Web Grader. It assists me in making sure everything is in line and that my grades are up to par.
The web can also gives me many forms of entertainment such as games. I can also listen to music and watch video clips on websites such as You Tube. But mostly it helps me communicate with friends. I can talk to many of my friends online after school on AIM. Using the World Wide Web has become part of my daily “routine” just as it has with many others.
2. I have to be organized in my life. I always keep things in the same spot so I will know at all times where they are. If I take something away from its designated spot it always gets put back therefore I’ll know where to look for it. Also I try to keep everything clean and neat to its easier to get to things.
3. I usually have a plan before I do anything, that way I know when and where I’m supposed to be. Being more organized in my life helps me a great deal. It allows me to do things quicker and with a better quality because I’m able to use many resources. At school, in my locker I always keep my books at the bottom. When I come to my locker after a class to get new books, I’ll either put the books from my last class on the top if I have homework or at the bottom if I don’t. So at the end of the day I know that I have homework in certain subjects and I can take the books I set aside home with me in order to complete my homework.
4. After school I usually ride the bus and get home at 3:00. I’ll get something to eat and then go on the computer for 15-30 minutes. Then depending on how much skating or dance I have that day, I’ll do some of my homework then go to my activities. I usually get home late and eat dinner right away. I’ll then finish my homework, if I have any left. Then for the remainder of the night I’ll go on the computer or watch TV. On average I’ll spend ½ an hour on homework, and 1-2 hours online or watching TV.
In school I’m learning information that may help me down the road. I believe that everything I’m learning is preparing me for high school, collage and eventually my life as an adult. I believe that what I’m learning is the basic building blocks necessary in order to achieve a high education. Learning is important to me because I want to go to a good collage and have a successful career therefore I have to study and get good grades now. Here in middle school I’d like to learn the benefits of online classes and also how to prepare for important test like the SAT’s. Mostly I just want to be ready for high school.

1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
It has changed it in lots of ways. Like instead of going home and doing my home work on paper I just do it on the computer. I haven’t made a home made card in years. I usually just go on the computer and type it up and print it out then sign it and I’m done. My mom doesn't do any hand writing work and to get her job she had to be able to type fast instead of writing. I think sometimes I wouldn’t be able to do any thing without technology. But thinking about it I think it is just what it is. Yeah people lived without any technology. Lots of people died from things that if you died from now, well you just wouldn’t. I think that it’s just how its supposed to go. Life changes and things change with it. If it happens it was supposed to happen. There isn’t another path to take. So for better or for worse I'm just neutral.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
I'm not that organized in life. On the computer, in myspace, facebook, and all those other sites I'm on I'm completely organized. So I organize it buy what is related to what. Its easer to find stuff that way. I have folders in folders when there are to things that are somewhat related but not totally. Being more organized impacts my life by finding things quicker and that way I get the job done quicker. Yes it will make it better. Since most people do work on the computer it would be easer to get a good job if I'm good with organizing things and placing them on the computer. It also won’t help. If I'm used to organizing things on the computer I won’t really be used to doing it in real life. My room is a complete disaster but I still can find things

I usually walk up town with my friends and hang out. In the fall or spring I usually just hang up there around 3-5 hours. I spend about 1 hour a day watching TV. I talk on my cell phone for 2-4 hours a day talking to friends I'm not hanging out with, making plans, or something. I'm chatting online about 2 hours talking to friends; I have about 5 different pages on different web sites. I spend about 20 hours a day listening to music. Truth fully I listen to it in most of my classes and I sleep with music on. I know pretty much all they teach and if I don’t I catch up quickly so I can just relax or think. Learning is important but if I'm not challenged usually I don’t try to hard. I would like to learn more about art and the things I'm actually going to do

1st.The World Wide Web has changed a lot it’s also changed my life. Now I can talk to my friends send my pictures and other good. It can help me with my homework. Plus I can research all sorts of stuff. I think technology has gotten better and better. Every time the improve it. They also make it more useful and helpful. It can help anyone! It never gets worse because when it’s more advanced it is a lot more fun. That’s why I think the web is getting better!
2nd.I think organizing is very helpful. I organize my stuff so I can find stuff easier. I also don’t lose stuff when am organized. I do think organizing makes things better so it can help you with your homework. So if you have homework in one class you will be able to find real fast. Plus if your not organized you might forget it at school. It’s just easier when you’re organized. Some people may think it might not help but I think it will. I love to be organized.
3rd.I gets home form school at four o’clock. When I get home from school I usually watch like two hours of TV. Then I have to go different places like shopping and stuff.. Then when I come home I ether watch more TV or go online for like 2 hours. So I watch TV from two to four hours a day .Sometimes I watch a lot more. I also chat on the phone for at least an hour or longer .I love to use technology! Sometimes I think I might use technology way to much!
1. Using the worldwide web has changed my life. It has changed my life for the better. I can now communicate with my friends and set up plans. I can also research more things for school. Also I can go to cool websites and check up on my favorite athletes. Another thing I can do is look at all the scores and stats for my favorite sports. One time I couldn’t get a hold of my friend. He was on the internet and we got together later that day. Also one time I had a project due the next day and there was no way I was going to get it done because I knew nothing on the topic, but the internet helped with all of the websites it had on the topic. That is how the internet has changed my life.
2. I organize information is school by using a planner. At home when I need to call someone my phone has a phonebook saved in it. When I’m on the internet I have all of my favorite websites saved in a file. If you are more organized you can get things done faster because you won’t have to waste time looking for it. Yes I think being more organized will impact you life in a positive way. You won’t have to waste your time cleaning your room if it is clean and organized. Also you won’t have to search through all of your clothes if you are looking for a pair of shorts you can just look in a specific drawer. Also if your closet is organized you won’t have to search through the whole thing just to find one pair of shoes. Your kitchen should also be organized, if it isn’t you will have to search through all of the cabinets just to find one cup. That is why I think it would be a good thing to be organized.
3. When I get home I get all of my homework done right away so I don’t have to worry about it for the rest of the night. After that I go on the computer for about 40 minutes depending on who’s on. After that I usually have a snack. Then I go in the basement and work out for about 30 minutes. I come up stairs and see what everyone is doing. At about 5:30 my family has dinner. After that I either play videogames or hang with my brother or watch t.v. Depending on what shows are on I usually go into my room at 9 and watch t.v. until 10 and go to sleep. I don’t have a cell phone so I don’t spend any time on that. I usually spend about an hour on the computer talking to my friends. Some of the things I learn at school are fun. My favorite subject is science. In science we are learning about rock layers and how old they are depending on the way they are piled up. Yes I think some of the things we learn in school are important. Some of the things aren’t though. I would like to learn about the body more because I have only had two classes on the human body in my 3 years at this school.
1. The World Wide Web as changed my life for the better. I think that because it helps me to do my homework and look up information. Also it lets me talk to my friends witch is a lot of fun. But in some ways it has changed my life for the worse because I tend to spend a lot of time on the computer in instead of doing homework and spending time with my family. Also because sometimes websites may give the wrong information witch could mess up the answers in give on my homework and that could get me a bad grade. But the World Wide Web also lets me communicate with people all around the world witch is really cool. It also lets me make new friends and it keeps me busy when I’m bored. The World Wide Web also helps me figure out what is happening in the world. Since I don’t enjoy watching the news I can just get the news through the internet witch is a lot more fun to me. It allows me to keep in touch with family and friends that I don’t get to see very often witch is for the better. So over all the World Wide Web as changed my life for the better.
2. I really just organize information by writing it don’t in a folder so I don’t loose it. Than I just put the folders in a binder so I don’t loose the folders. Being organized has defiantly impacted my life because if I wasn’t organized I would not know where anything was and I would get bad grades. The computer also helps me organize things to. I can just type things in word or something like it than I just save the things I write down. That way I won’t loose the information and I can just print the paper if I need it. If I loose the paper I can just print off another one so the internet helps me a lot. I am also organized by just outing the papers in my locker. That way I can never loose them and if I need them I can just go to my locker to grab them. So that is how I am organized.
3. After school I usually go to my neighbor’s house and play over there for about an hour. Than I go home and go on the internet for another two hours. After that I do my homework. Than most of the time I will go back on the computer until my dad says dinner is ready. I am also talking on my cell phone while I’m on the computer so I probably talk on my cell phone for about two hours. As for school I do feel like I’m learning some things but not a lot. Mostly because I am usually daydreaming about the things I do after school. And it’s hard to pay attention when I’m not focused. But learning is important to me which is why I’m trying not to daydream so often and spend more time on my homework to make sure I do it right. At school I would like to learn things that I’m actually going to learn later on in life. It feels like a lot of the things I’m being taught are things I don’t need.

1. Q: Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
A: Using the web has changed my life. It lets me keep in touch with my friends across the world. Also my parents and I can buy things online. It also helps me with school projects. I can get pictures off the internet to use and research for my other homework.
The internet has changed my life for the better. With the internet I always have something to do when I get bored. There are numerous sites to play games on and a lot of things to read. Without the internet I wouldn’t be able to keep track of what is happening in the world. As long as you be careful the internet is very useful and it plays an important role in my life.
2. Q: The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
A: I am not very organized. I just keep my papers in my folders. There is not a specific spot for anything. If I get more organized it will probably save me a lot of time that I spend looking for things.
Even though I am not organized I am still responsible. I always end up finding everything. I always get my homework turned in and I get good grades. So I don’t think getting organized will help me that much. I would spend more time putting things back than it would have taken me to find them. I like having everything in random spots.
3.Q: In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning.
A: After school I spend a lot of time reading and on the internet. I only watch TV for an hour or so a day. I spend at least 3 hours a day on the internet on most days. While I’m on the internet I usually play games, chat with friends and listen to music. The books I read are usually fantasies and have nothing to do with school. I read for a couple hours a day.
At school I am not really learning anything. I think most of the things I do at school is pointless. I still complete the assignments though. The only class I learn things on a daily basis is probably Geometry. Even though I don’t really learn a lot I still like English. I don’t really want to learn anything specifically, just things that I can use to get a good job.
1. Well using the web has changed my life in many ways. A couple ways is when I need to look up definitions. I’m also able to get help on the online homework. I can also play online games like runescape and play world of war craft. Using the web has been better for me because last night I had to look up snow flakes to decorate a senior center. It has sometimes been bad because the internet lagged a lot. Or it freezes up and u have to restart your computer. I’ve also had problems with it not working or the internet is off line. It has also been bad because when I go to look up definitions there are so many sites that some of them just don’t work and you get so mad that u just go look it up in a dictionary.
2. I organize stuff in my life by keeping stuff neat and keeping stuff in papers and in neat folders. Being more organized would probly mean keeping everything clean and all in bins and boxes. It would probly make it better because being organized means u can find your stuff faster. Also being organized means you are never unable to find papers and never unable to not do a paper because you cant find the information or graphs to do the project. Being organized would benefit me because I always have trouble getting the materials found and stuff being lost because it’s not organized.
3. After school I go home and play on computer and play games then I do my home work then go on the computer again. I also some times just go on to talk to my friends. I usually spend at least 3-4 hours a day watching TV or on the computer. What I’m learning at school in this class is that technology is not always that helpful but some times it can be. Right now I think learning is not that important because are economy is so bad and no one can get jobs. What I would want to learn at highlander way is to create websites or stuff that could be used in the future, because right now we are learning math and its not really used in a lot of jobs. That’s what I am learning and what I would want to learn.
1. I think using the World Wide Web has changed my life because if their never was the World Wide Web their wouldn’t be the internet. I say this because I use the internet a lot. I like to go on to youtube to watch funny videos and I like to use Google a lot to look up pictures and information. Now this has changed my life because if I couldn’t do any of those things it would be a lot harder to find information for school work and such. Lastly, if their wasn’t youtube that would be one less thing I would have to do for fun.
I’m not sure if the internet has made life better or worse. I mean the internet helps us a lot by helping us find information and stuff. Yet then again people get in a lot of trouble online in chat rooms by lying to people and figuring out ways to kidnap kids. Yet by going online you can get help on homework or use Mapquest to find a certain place that you want to go or travel to. So in conclusion the internet is kind of neutral when changing for better or worse.
2. I organize information very well. I put all of my important papers in drawers or shelves and even in notebooks. Being organized is a good way to help you find thigs that you need or are looking for instead of scrambling around trying to find things. A Also being organized makes you fell good and keeps your room, house, or office clean and uncluttered. It also makes me feel good because I am way more organized then my sister and I don’t know why but that makes me happy.
As I explained in the last paragraph being p organized does make a difference in life. It keeps your house, room, and office clean and uncluttered. It makes you feel good and clean. Lets you keep track of important things. It will also probably make you have more friends as well because no one likes dirty and unclean people. It may also give you better grades because you will be able to find things easier.
3. After school I like to hang out with friends and play video games. Sometimes I even go play sports or go to guitar practice, but I haven’t been doing that much since I broke my ankle. The time I usually spend watching T.V after school is probably 1-2 hours. The time I usually spend on playing video games is also probably 1-2 hours. Lastly, The time I spend hanging out with friends would most likely be around three and a half hours.
At school I learn quite a bit of things such as art, technology, social studies, English, math, and science. Learning is really important to me because if I didn’t learn then I would not be able to get a good job and make a lot of money. Some things I would like to learn about here at school would be engineering, cars, guitar, and statistics (which I will learn about later anyway) I would like to learn about those things because those are the things I’m most interested in. I would also like to learn about more intresting things on the computer because I find computers to be fun and interesting as well. Well those are some things I learn and would like to learn about and I hope you thought it was good

1.Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Using the World Wide Web has changed my life a lot. By using the web, I have been able to communicate with others from around the world and know more information. I have also been able to find news that is occurring around the world easily. I can also get others ideas and thoughts about the news, other than just from my friends. Also, using the web has allowed me to talk to friends I never talk to any more and talk to new friends. Further more; I can make my opinion count by posting up my ideas to the latest news and such. I think that using the web has been for the better. I can find information easier and communicate easier. Without it, the world wouldn’t connect as it does now. For example, someone who lives in America could easily talk to someone in Europe with just a click of a button. If we didn’t have the web, the person living in America wouldn’t be able to have conversation easily with the person in Europe. They would probably have to write letters, and by the time the person in Europe gets it, it may be old news, so the web speeds up the time to communicate with one another. Without the World Wide Web, we wouldn’t know all that much about anything that goes on in the world.
2.The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
How I organize information in my life varies. I usually just write it down on a piece of paper if it’s something small, like passwords, or email addresses for my accounts online. For bigger things, such as information for a project for school, I usually organize information on the computer. Usually, the computer can help me a lot more when organizing information than writing it on paper. Being more organized impacts my life a lot. Without organization, I would forget a lot of stuff that I may need to remember. Computers do make it better for I can’t always rely on paper, for I tend to lose it. When it comes to using the computer for storing information, its better; for I know it will always be there, unless I delete the file. Sometimes, computers don’t always help. Just because you save information into your computer, such as a report for school, it can easily be deleted. Also, computers can just stop working, for there was a virus or such. Usually, computers can be the best way to go when organizing.
3.In the last movie, students were brutally honest about what they do with their time and what they are learning. Be completely honest and tell me what you do with your time after school. How much time do you spend watching TV, talking on your cell phone, chatting online with friends, etc.? Additionally, tell me what you are learning here at school...are you learning? Is learning important to you? Why? Or, if not, then why not? What would you like to learn here at HWMS? Think about your answers before writing them. Explain your answers and give details to support your statements.
When school is done for the day and when I get home, I usually spend a lot of time playing my flute. On a normal day, I usually practice for two to three hours a night and somewhere around five hours a day on weekends. I do my homework either right when I get home or before I go to bed. I sometimes go on the internet for an hour or so. I never usually have time to watch television. I am learning a lot at school, however. I’m learning about the constitution in social studies, pre-algebra in math, earth science in science, and verbs, nouns, and adjectives in English. So yes, I am learning at HWMS. Although, what I’m learning doesn’t seem so important to me at the moment. I want to become a professional flutist, so none of what I learn at school can help me, except band of course. I would much rather learn more about the flute at HWMS, such as different songs I can play, tricks of playing faster, etc.
Brandon Pajur 1. Using the World Wide Web has changed a lot in the past few years. How has using the web changed your life? Has it been for the better or worse? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Using the web has changed my life because now I can instantly talk to my friends when ever I want to using AIM . So the thing is I can do what ever I want the computer with out getting in trouble for it because my parents never use the computer. Also there are things you can worrying about like people uploading viruses into your computer .and hacking into your database so there are good things and bad things about The web.m.s Colburn you have taught me things to a degree that I did not know about
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Organization will probably help improve my math grade from a c+ to a A. Yes organization will make my life better because then I could find all my papers without looking for them for 15 minutes. The only way it would not help me is if my friend is going through my binder in the last month. I have gottin better in the last month with organization.
3. In the last movie, students were brutally honest abut what they do with their time and what they are learning.
Here at school YOUR class has taught me that computers are probably the most FUN thing on the planet other than social studies so thank you MISS Colburn for teaching me to type and use Microsoft word and other programs. Also in 6th grade I could not type now I am a lot better.I watch hardly any TV at my house and I have a cell phone but,I only use it arond 15 minutes a month If that.

This has changed my life. This has changed my life because I have engaged conversation without worrying about spelling errors. It has been a whole lot better because I just told you. I can now engage into conversation without worrying about spelling errors. I can also now play RPGs such as Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II online with other gamers. I like the online because I can get homework help. I also like being able to type instead of write. I love not having to run up a major phone bill either even though I don’t talk very much on the phone. It is also bad because it is wasting away kids lives because that is all some kids do all day. Just sit on the computer and waste away.

I stay a lot more organized on the computer because I don’t usually have to clean up after myself. I can also make my own account and have a password so I can put my own stuff there and not be wasting too much space on the administrator desktop. I also like Microsoft Excel because I like making charts. I like Microsoft Word because I like how it can correct any grammatical or spelling errors. I like Microsoft Publisher because I like making my own cards instead of spending $4 on a real card. Organizing has impacted my life for the better because I now know where everything is. I also don’t lose my documents unless my computer catches a virus (or if my dad decides to get a new video card). I also like clipart because I can’t draw even if my life depended on it. I also like saving my stuff but when my folders get too packed, I delete anything I don’t need. It’s just like cleaning my room.

With the 6 and ½ hours I have between the time I get home and time I go to bed, I usually just watch TV or play the computer. But not all the time. Sometimes I hang out with friends, snowskate, play x-box, you know, the fun stuff. I don’t have a cell phone, because my mom doesn’t allow anyone in my family to have cell phones until they are 15. I am learning Pre-Algebra and how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions. In my science class we are doing some mystery thing. In my social studies class I am learning about how the constitution creates a more perfect union. In English we are reading a book called The Outsiders. I would love to learn more about mythology and Greek myths and stuff like that. I would also like to do cartooning. I think it would be pretty cool to learn more about computers though. You know, like what the hard drive does, or what RAM does.

1.) The World Wide Web has changed my life in the past few years by helping me research a lot of stuff. For example it helps me research stuff for homework. If I didn’t have the web I would have to go to the library to do research. This takes longer, so I would have less time to do the homework. And if I had less time to do homework I wouldn’t be very happy.
The World Wide Web has been the better in my life because with out it I would be getting an F in most of my classes. And If I was getting an F in my classes my mom wouldn’t be happy. When my mom ain’t happy ain’t no body happy. (In my house).
2.) I organize information in my life by putting it in alphabetical order or by putting it in categories. I also organize information by highlighting it in a book. For example, in my room I put all of my important stuff in one place. And I put all of my nonimportant stuff in another place. This helps me find stuff easier.
Organizing my info helps me find it easier. I don’t know why but I like to organize stuff, especially my room. I hate to have my room messy. Organizing info can help other people find it easier too.
3.) The time I spend at home talking on the phone each day is about 5-30 min. I spend about 10-90 min on the computer. I spend about 30 min. practicing my guitar. I spend about 30 min. watching TV. And I spend about 5-120 min on home work.
I am learning about Sci-Fi. I am learning about volcanoes. I am learning about math equations. I am learning about movies. I am learning a song in choir.

Using the web has changed my life in the past few years. It changed my life because I have bad penmanship and with this I can write better. The web also has a lot of games that I like. The web has you tube, which I like to go to. It has Google which I use to find some information. In other words, the web is better with most things. It can prevent you from wasting paper on mistakes, stop identity theft, and it is like a free news paper. Bad things are, the fact that some bad people use the web to take advantage of other people.
2. The second movie is about organizing information. Tell me how you organize information in your life. How can being more organized impact your life? Will it make it better? How so? Will it not help? Why not? Explain your answer and give details to support your statement.
Computers do help me be more organized by the following reasons. By using computers you can make mistakes and you wont waste paper. It stores more info with less space. Plus you don’t have to look through a million papers. And they have fire walls to protect people from stealing your stuff.

I spend maybe one hour a day watching TV. I am on the computer at school or at my grandparents house. School is important but I would rather be doing something else. We learn what we need to an we usually get lots of homework, even on the weekends. I wish they would teach us only what we need to know.
